My 14 year old son and reluctant reader and I read this together and we both enjoyed it immensely. I've never been one to really like Peter Pan, but I found myself loving him in this book. My son lost his reading reluctance for this book, and I highly recommend it.Product details

It is now realistic
Very few writers and movie makers have respected the source material for Peter Pan. He is NOT, I repeat NOT an adolescent! Within the first few pages of the book it is suggested that Peter is about 14 years old. That ruined it for me. I may or may not read the rest. I find it unbearably frustrating when people make Peter out to be older than he is as suggested in the original novel. Disney got it wrong as did the more recent Peter Pan film adaptation (2003?). He was too old. The only ones where it has come close is the recent movie 'Pan' and a much older Russian version. Some authors have been pretty good about it (Dave Barry's series, for example) but I've still to read a version where Peter is close to the proper age. I wish writes and film makers would stop making him out to be more than 10 years old or so.
I think that "pan" jumped around too much and it was hard to stay on track. I recommend this book to people that love a little adventure in there lives.
This book was so wonderfully written from the view of Peter Pan and it has quite the unexpected plot twist. I can't wait to read it again. It was a simple and quick read and I couldn't dare to put it down.
